The Truth About Home Water Purifiers and Filters

By the time you finished reading this you will see that all home water purifiers and filters do not provide the same quality of water. Many products that claim to treat your water do not address all three important factors in water treatment. When evaluating home water purifiers and filters you should consider these three factors for your satisfaction

  • Taste and odor
  • Removal of contaminants
  • Demineralization

Taste

Most home water purifiers and filters will improve the taste and odor of your drinking water. If you are only concerned with taste and odor, you will be satisfied the result using many of the simpler products such as carafe filters and faucet mounted filters that use granulated charcoal filtration. The problem with this style of water filter is that their effectiveness lasts a very short time. Home Water Purifiers May Provide The Safest And Tastiest Water.

You’ve probably heard it a hundred times…Drink more water! You’ve probably heard it from your doctor, from the media and even your mother! But how many of us really know just how much water you should drink? Maybe a better question is how much water is it safe to drink? Ordinary tap water has come under scrutiny. Many people believe that home water purifiers are the only way to assure that the water they are drinking is safe and contaminant free. The decision to drink more water can lead one to research and compare home water purifiers.

How much water should you drink depends on a number of factors such as our health, a desire to lose weight, or our life style and our eating and drinking habits. The world we live in today is much different than it was 70 years ago when the '8 x 8 rule' (eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day (about 1.9liters) was first published in medical journals. The difference now is each day we are exposed to a multitude of toxic chemicals and environmental pollutants that didn’t exist 70 years ago. We are exposed to many of those pollutants in our water supply.

We also live more hectic and stressful lifestyles. WE also consume processed and preserved foods. All these factors require an increased intake of healthy water to offset the damage. Water is the body’s only fluid that flushes out toxins and wastes. Certain health and lifestyle factors interfere with our ability to deal with toxins. Their presence is a call for increased water intake. If the water we are drinking also has toxins, the body cannot do the job of healing and maintaining itself effectively!
